Carl Sona talks about his experience at his first Australian
Regional in Melbourne. Previously he had been out of the Country
when one was held. He was so impressed he was emotional. |
 |
Noel Lipscombe was our main speaker and talked about the Hamilton
clock Company and their history. Noel likes military timepieces
and illustrated his talk with overhead pictures and examples
of this interesting part of Horology |
 |
Max Osborne illustrates his black mantel finishing techniques.
He has discovered a new gold paint which does an excellent job
in finishing those parts of a clock that need simulated guilding.
also good for getting a more authentic finish on cuckoo clock
weights when finished with wet black paint wiped off |

Lionel bought this time only French clock at the last meeting.
It was missing many case parts and the pendulum. This was a
challenge for Lionel who made all the parts necessary and produced
a fine restored clock. Not without a lot of hours of work -
or is it fun? No doubt fun in Lionel's case |

In between chapter meetings at Wentworthville, the executive
meets to develop the club further. Be it the next meeting, the
next auction, the next Regional etc. behind every successful
club is a hard working executive. |
 |
Here's another picture of the executive meeting which is held
in the homes of the executive. All members are invited to come
and help in the running of the Chapter. |

My lens got smeared with grease or something to give a blurry
effect on this picture, but it is meant to show some of the
items at the meeting to illustrate Noel's talk |
