David Churchill and Richard Fawdry talked to the December Chapter meeting about English Bracket Clocks.  The main references they used were “English Domestic Clocks” Cescinsky and Roberts 1914, “Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World” G.H. Baillie 1929 and “The Bracket Clock” Deryck Roberts 1982.  A group of clocks from the early 18th to 20th Centuries was on display with David and Richard illustrating the development and decline of the English product.  Being the festive season, the group of almost 100 were treated to an afternoon tea with Christmas fare.
