Our October 2001 Chapter Meeting in the Uniting
Church Hall, Wentworthville |
 |
The group usually numbers from about 60 to 90.
This meeting was over 70 members and guests |
 |
The main topic was electrical Bulle clocks and
Harry Hennessey describes the mechanism |
 |
Harry had his own project - to resurrect an electrical
bulle style clock from bits he found in the bottom of a box
he got at the last club auction |
 |
It has many bits missing and to get it working
is a challenge, especially making a curved bar magnet with north/south/north
polarity which many believed impossible |
 |
Nevertheless Harry proved them wrong. He still
has some work to do to get this thing going - a great challenge! |
 |
These are some examples of shelf Bulle clocks |
 |
Several designs are evident. These would all have
glass domes |
