Carla discusses feedback on the Aussie version of the Torsion Times Attentive discussion
We now talk about our latest project - restoration competition, what does this mean? Here's an entry - a sentimental clock nearly destroyed in a fire - what a challenge
An entry with green lacquer and a missing ball Just look at the problems with this dial - all great challenges to be judged on a 10 point system
The workshop was on dial restoration How did this happen, can it be repaired?
Silvered dials are very difficult and require silk screening Yes, porcelain dials are easier to repair with cold enameling, but not cheap
Paper dials are the easiest Blow up a copy 150% and white out the cracks etc.  then reduce back and print on coloured card
Decals are available from Timesavers and others We also looked at look a likes - battery driven
Typically there is a battery for the clock and battery for the pendulum, although this one only uses one Now this is an unusual Hettich in a 4 glass arrangement
Battery for the movement Well protected by a porcelain back  cover, however the case construction is not high quality
A wall version Complete with Battery movement
