The August 2005 meeting was the AGM plus the usual program of show and tell, a main presentation and afternoon tea.  Carl Sona is the new President of the Chapter.  Managing Committee Members are shown in the second picture and from left to right are Chris Nicola, Secretary; Cark Sona, President; Lindsay Bramall, VP; Noel Lipscombe, Treasurer; Carla Bosch, Greg Kelly, Keith Potter and Pete Ekins as Ordinary Committee Members.  Stan Boyatsis, the second VP is not pictured.  Michael Smith and the outgoing committee were thanked for their past service to the club and making it such a success.

Jack's show and tell items ranging from wrist watches, a miniature carriage clock and an Urgos triple quarter chimer, well made, thick plates and 2 ratchet pawls on the Chime mainspring.
Peter Ekins was the main speaker, tracing the history of the measurement of latitude and longitude back to the Greeks.  To assist in his understanding of this history he made his own astrolabe. Sextants and a chronometer assisted the talk
