April 2003 168 meeting theme was Bandstands, Louvres or Tholos clocks.  These are 2, 30 day and one medium 400 day The 2 Gustav Beckers in the middle are the standard Louvre size
This crested red GB  enamel example is at the higher end of dome clock quality Whilst this GB is silver dialed and quite plain - models to suit many tastes
Line up of clocks on display These look identical but one is JUF and one K&O
This was the first mystery clock of the evening - how odd!  It's a 1908 KUF keyhole shaped with curved numbers and hands The flat pendulum has a twisted extension piece to support it to the suspension
Standard JUS movement in the back Standard JUF with double elephants on the back plate
This is the clock that ran for 470 days in the trial.  No markings so a mystery.  We believe it is a K&O 1927 vintage, using the guide to identify the pendulum Also the serial number was checked against the numbers supplied by John Hubby in the Torsion times Vol VIII No 1.  The belled suspension guard is fitted to earlier clocks normally, so may not be original to the clock.  But maybe it is.
Standard JUF bandstand with an Australian flavour - a kookaburra finial on top! 30 day JUF.  Replacement domes are very difficult to source if you break one
30 day Vosseler with unique pendulum
